(1mAbcD) Allium sphaerocephalon. A striking display with its vibrant spectacular ornamental mauve flowerhead shaped like an egg with green undersides! Each flower head is grown on a green stem resembling a drumstick. An excellent choice as cut flowers for its spectacular ornamental purple flowerhead and is also long lasting. Best grown in full sun and during the warmer seasons and still can be grown in warmer areas during winter. Can be left alone and the bulbs will spread out, forming more flower heads. Hardy plant. Drought tolerant. Full sun. New sprouts sent in 75mm pots.
