(2m**EdABcD) Hibiscus heterophyllus is one of the most attractive of the few native Hibiscus we have in Australia. It produces abundant huge (14cm) of either pink, white or yellow flowers with red centres for many months during spring and summer. Can be grown as a shrub or small tree. Both the flower buds and petals are edible and can be used to make jams and either raw or cooked in salads. Young shoots and the roots are also edible. Very hardy and vigorous, it will grow on harsh sites in sun or semi-shade.
