(1.5m*AbcD) Hedychium ‘White Butterfly’ will give you the most fragrant and attractive long lasting flowers imaginable from summer through autumn. The interestingly shaped orchid like flowers are pure white with a dash of gold on the central petal. Attractive lushe broad ‘tropical’ foliage. These are fast growing plants shooting from a strong rhizome. Native to India they will grow in most frostfree coastal climates. If you are in a cooler borderline area, you may still be successful if you protect the rhizomes from frost damage with straw mulch. Prefers shade or partial shade and plenty of moisture. Sent as rhizomes in 75mm pots.
