ELEPHANT GARLIC

(1mAbcD) Allium ampeloprasum var. ampeloprasum. Not actually a garlic but more so a Leek. Great flavour and spectacular ornamental mauve flowerhead! A ball cluster of flowers on a tall stem grows from each bulb. Mild sweet flavour. Best grown in full sun and during the warmer seasons and still can be grown in warmer areas during winter. Can be left alone and will spread out, forming more flower heads. Can be eaten raw, cooked & roasted. Hardy plant. Full sun.
